Sixteen persons had secured licenses to fish this year at the Newkirk city lake according to records on file at the office of Gene Leavitt, city clerk. Those included P.P. Snider, W.C. Liermann, Gus Greenhagen, Willis N. Saylor, Bertha Saylor, W.S. Bryant, Ray Bratton, Jennie Branch, Frank Branch, Dale Heltzel, Oscar Cox, Phillip Hiatt, Marion Rigdon, Charles Lane and Neal A. Sullivan.
